The Russian State Art Library and the International Association “Artist's Book” started the Year of Literature with the “ArtKozma” exhibition.
Artists Mikhail Pogarsky and Vasily Vlasov told about an unusual mixture of art and literature.
The “ArtKozma” project in the Artist's Book form is devoted to a famous literature mystification of the Zhemchuzhnikov brothers and A. Tolstoy.
This exhibition is another chance to have a look at our literature heritage. Immortal aphorisms of Kozma Prutkov continue to live in our culture and our everyday life.
Works of contemporary Russian artists in the RSAL exhibit originally interpret the famous aphorisms. Book-objects, pop-up and prints show the art phenomenon - the Artist's Book, where not only text, but decorative elements are also a value of the genre.
Art works of Valery Korchagin, Vasily Vlasov, Mikhail Pogarsky, Natalia Sineva, Boris Trzhemetsky, Sergey Smirnov, Viktor Lukin, Gunel Yuran and other artists are displayed at the exhibition.
