On September, 24th the Reader’s Museum of the Library held a one-man performance “Mogucheye Veselie” (“Mighty Fun”) staged and played by a longtime friend and reader of the Library Avangard Nikolayevich Leontiev, the artist of the Moscow Art Theater, People’s Artist of Russia. Avangard Leontiev dedicated his performance to the 120th anniversary of Isaac Babel and read Babel’s stories “Probuzhdenie” (“Waking Up”), “Nachalo” (“Beginning”), Gedali”, “Korol” (“The King”) and “Di Grasso”.
The artist included into his rendition the memoirs of Babel’s contemporaries, photo materials, comments and his own impressions.
