The exhibition launched on April, 15th in the Library and Information Center of the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital. The exposition included 30 works of the unique collection of engravings and lithographs by the Russian and foreign artists from the Library’s funds. The visitors could see the costumes of various peoples who inhabited the territory of Russia – the peoples of the North Caucasus, the Volga region, Russian High North, Siberia, Central Asia, Baltics – in the works by Johann Gottlieb Georgi, Emelian Korneev, G.-F. Pauli.

The works were not only of the artistic interest, they had also perfectly fit into the system of therapeutic and psychological rehabilitation for the children receiving medical treatment in the hospital. Right after the opening of the exhibition the recovering children were invited to the excursion were they showed strong interest and asked numerous questions. Needless to say that the interest in the eyes of a child is a true sign of health…

The exhibition also attracted interest of the hospital specialists – pediatricians, psychologists, pedagogues. There had been a special excursion program prepared as well.
