March 17-19th, 2014 – the Library took part in the meeting of the International Community of Museums and Libraries devoted to A.P. Chekhov at Melikhovo Literary and Memorial Museum-reserve.
The Russian State Art Library, known for its rich collection of books, documents and art materials connected with life and work of Chekhov, became a member of the International Community in 2014.
We had a series of working and informal meetings where the participants could get to know better the current work status of each organization, present their successful experience in project realization in various spheres of museum and librarian activity, propose and discuss joint projects (exhibitions, actions, events, publications, Internet projects, etc.) by way of strengthening and expanding the cooperation.
Vera Vadimovna Murzinova, the Head of Instructional Research Department of RSAL, made a speech on the subject of “Chekhov themed materials in the collections of the Russian State Art Library”.
