At the end of March the Reader’s Museum showed “Andrey Rublev” by A. Tarkovsky and “Decameron” by Pasolini to the students of Moscow Art Theatre School .
The screening of the two films was a part of classes for the 1st year students on the subjects of “The History of Costume – Old Russian Costume” and “Medieval Costume, Europe” and went together with lectures and comments by leading specialists in the field of costume studies.
It is highly important for future costume designers, artists who can create the image of time by means of a single dress, to get familiar with artistic and documentary material. The students had this wonderful opportunity thanks to our Library’s wide literary collection on the subject of costume study.
