On 25 February, a Meeting with the Editor-in-chief of Kniga Radio Egor Serov Was Held at RSAL

The topic of the interview was reading in the modern world, new and experimental formats of publications, the possibilities of modern technologies for studying literary sources, and virtual educational projects to promote books.

Egor Serov, Editor-in-chief of Kniga Radio, presenter of the book section on Russia 1’s TV programme ‘Morning in Russia’, is a poet, journalist, and voice actor. During the meeting, he introduced Russian State Art Library (RSAL) readers to the new online project ‘Stories about Russia’, created by the Nikolay Rastorguev Foundation for the Support of Cinema, Radio, Television, Multimedia, and Animation, with financial support from the Presidential Grants Foundation. More than 500 excerpts of works by 220 famous Russian and Soviet writers made up 111 hours of recordings. Egor Serov has become the leading ‘voice’ of the project.

Egor Yuryevich spoke about work on another project, which he called ‘AVIGA—The Convergent Book of the Future’. An addition to traditional printed editions, the audio-visual AVIGA book will be able to combine modern possibilities with a mandatory familiarity with text.
