On 15 October 2020, RSAL Held the Online Discussion “The Library Online. Traditional Tasks in the Modern Information Society"
On 15 October 2020, the Section of Libraries of the Arts and Museum Libraries of the Russian Library Association (RLA) and the Russian State Art Library (RSAL) held a virtual discussion on the topic “The Library Online. Traditional Tasks in the Modern Information Society”.
Libraries are actively working on the creation of multimedia products of an informational, reference, and educational nature. As curators of knowledge and intellectual heritage, they are expanding their activities in today’s digital world.
How libraries should fulfill their professional, social, cultural, and educational mandates in today’s difficult conditions was discussed. Specialists from libraries in Moscow, St Petersburg, Yakutsk, and Irkutsk participated in the discussion.
