Russian State Art Library hosted the 1st meeting of the Postcard Lovers Club of Moscow on April, 12th. The subject of the meeting was “The House of Romanovs shown in postcards. State and private collections”.
A.A. Melitonyan, Ph.D. in History, Professor at Moscow University of Humanities, A.A. Kolganova, Director of Russian State Art Library and E.G. Khaplanova, Head of Iconography Complex Department of RSAL, also took part in the meeting together with Moscow deltiologists.
Prior to the meeting the members of the Club visited the exhibition “Unknown Romanovs: Grand Dukes and Duchesses serving Russia”.
In the course of the meeting E.G. Khaplanova was unanimously elected as a chairperson of the Club. Among other organizational issues the members of the Club drew up the plan for forthcoming meetings and subjects to be covered.
The Club is planning to hold meetings on monthly basis.
