"Famous Theatre Dynasties in the Moscow Photographers' Works" lecture from the "Unknown about Known" cycle took place in the Russian State Art Library on 22 January. The lecture was prepared by the RSAL Theatre Photographs Stocks Department's custodian Dina Chanisheva. Her speech was accompanied by an illustrative material's presentation from the library's funds.
Works of photographers like Sh. Bergamsky, M. Kanarsky, I. Dyagovchenko, E. Mrozovskaya, B. Fabisovich, K. Fisher and others make a great amount of the RSAL's funds. This stock can be called a Theatre Encyclopedia with its own rarities.
Dina's report was devoted to those Moscow photographers, who left big and valuable inheritance during their activity in the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th century. The audience had a chance not only get acquainted with biographies, but also see some photographic works which depicted the leading figures of Maly and Art Theatre.
Works of contemporary theatre photographers were demonstrated in the end of the lecture and photographer Evgeny Lulukin told about some curiosities of today's photography and how he himself works with Moscow theaters.
