On July 22nd the Reader’s Museum of the Library hosted a public lecture dedicated to Leo Tolstoi and the cinema. The lecture was given by Yuri Vladimirovich Prokopchuk, Ph.D in History, Head of the Lecture and Guidance Department of State Museum of Leo Tolstoi.
Yuri Vladimirovich spoke about filming of the unique newsreels and the first screen adaptations of Tolstoi’s novels. His lecture was supported by fragments of the documentary “Passenger of the Train 12”.
The lecture aroused a lot of interest among the audience who asked the lecturer many questions on the subject.
