On June 26th The Russian State Art Library opened the exhibition project called “Archive” – one of the parallel programs of the 4th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art. The exhibition was opened by Deputy Director of the Library Inna Vaganova and curators of the project – Svetlana Makeeva and Artem Volin.
The exposition serves as a research of the relations between the art-object of the artist and the document recording it.
Art-actions by the young artists were documented by the series of slides. With the help of the slide-projector and step-by-step descriptions of the installations the visitors could express their emotions and at the same time remain thoughtful.
Innovative student project occurred to become an unusual exhibition and united both intellectual and emotional worlds. The intellectual world is the world of library – the environment implying serious research work with the material. The emotional world involves the artistic emotions experienced by the authors of installations and performances.
