The Russian State Art Library and the International Association “Artist’s Book” welcomed their guests to visit the second panel discussion of the Club that took place on February, 15 at 14.00-18.00 in the Hall at Kuznetsky Most.
The program of the second panel discussion:
1. Exhibition fair of the Artist’s Book.
Participants: Elena Pavlova (Potanina), Vera Garanina, Alla Guzairova, Ellina Mukhina, Mikhail Barzdyka.
2. Lecture “Russian Futurism and Contemporary Artist’s Book”:
What is the reason why it was the Russian Futurism that became the starting point of the Artist’s Book? Can there be direct connections traced between the Futuristic Book and Artist’s Book? Do contemporary artists look at for the Futuristic heritage? These and many other questions were answered by Mikhail Pogarsky - artist, writer, curator and theoretician.
The lecture was followed by an exposition dedicated to the Russian Futurism showing works of modern artists.
3. Svetlana Kollerova’s presentation of works by Mikhail Barzdyka (from the collection of the Kollerov family).
4. Presentation of poetic texts by Tatiana Bonch-Osmolovskaya (with graphic works by Ellina Mukhina).
