The video lecture given by the famous ballet critic Anna Gordeeva is dedicated to the work of the ballet master Evgeny Panfilov, who would have turned 65 on August 10.
Yevgeny Panfilov started dancing very late—at 23, but after a few years he won fame as a leader in modern dance; and in 2000, his private theatre, Evgeny Panfilov's Ballet, became the first state collective of contemporary dance in Russia.
Yevgeny Panfilov staged more than 85 ballets, including Le Sacre du printemps at the Mariinsky Theatre, became a laureate in many international competitions, as a dancer and choreographer participated in Aleksey Uchitel’s film, Gisele's Mania, and taught at the Perm Choreographic School.
