On 6 July, Lyudmila Maksakova, People’s Artist of Russia and leading actress of the Vakhtangov Theatre, presented the touching poems of Anna Akhmatova. Lyudmila Maksakova ended the performance with Alexander Pushkin’s comic poem ‘Count Nulin’.
In 2021, the Vakhtangov Theatre turns 100. In connection with this anniversary, a new exposition ‘Vakhtangovites and the Library. One Hundred Years Together’ opened. Since her student days, Lyudmila Vasilievna has been a Russian State Art Library (RSAL) reader. For many years, RSAL has supplied her requests for art materials, which helped the actress prepare for new roles in film and on stage. At the end of the evening Lyudmila Vasilievna answered questions from the audience.
