The Presentation of the Encyclopedic Dictionary, The Bolshoi Theatre of Russia in the Biographies of its Choral Artists was held at RSAL
On September 13, 2019, RSAL hosted the presentation of a unique publication dedicated to the entire history of the Bolshoi Theatre Choir. The publication completes the research work of Irina Parfenova dedicated to the creative groups of the Bolshoi Theatre. The first part of the study, The Bolshoi Theatre of Russia in the Biographies of its Musicians (about the orchestra musicians), was published in 2018.
The new book, reflecting the events and facts of three periods in the history of the choir—the Imperial, Soviet, and contemporary, was presented by its author Irina Parfenova, of the Bolshoi Theatre Choir. She spoke about her many years of research on the history of the Bolshoi Theatre Choir. Rare archival documents and photographs were shown at the evening.
