The seminar was attended by specialists from art departments of regional and university libraries, representatives of special libraries, more than 50 people in total.

Managing partner of MIVERCOM Elena Mikhailovskaya introduced the audience to the programme of the seminar, which included a review of full-text electronic databases, as well as specialised electronic libraries and archives from foreign publishers and aggregators of the electronic resources on culture and art available to Russian libraries.

Alexander Lipensky, an expert on the electronic resources of MIVERCOM, presented the databases of the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) (China) and KRpia from the company Nurimedia (South Korea).

The CNKI database collects information on scholarly journals, book collections, and art databases in China; while Nurimedia’s KRpia accumulates scholarly art publications in Korean, including journal articles, terminological dictionaries, historical records, and reference books related to Korean culture and art.

David Olsen introduced an online collection of e-books and magazines on art, design, theatre, music, and culture from De Gruyter (the Jacek Lewinson Publishers’ Agency, De Gruyter, Germany).

The founder and owner of Casalini Libri s.p.a.  Andrea Ferro (Italy) presented specialised editions on art, including theatre and cinema, from leading Italian publishers on the Torrossa platform.

A.V. Lipensky complemented his Italian colleague’s speech with a story about the unique collection of archives of the Italian National Institute for Research on Verdi’s Works (Istituto Nazionale di Studi Verdiani).

The results of the seminar were summarised by Galina Karmishenskaya, Development Director of MIVERCOM, who focused the attention of the library specialists on foreign
