On June 28, the Exhibition ‘Inspiration: The Art of St Petersburg’s Blind Artists’ opened at RSAL
RSAL hosted the opening of the exhibition ‘Inspiration: The Art of St Petersburg’s Blind Artists’, displaying the work to readers of the St Petersburg Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Thanks to the unique technique of the avant-garde artist Yuri Nashivochnikov, they were not only able to master the technique of drawing, but also to create works that have received recognition in the art world.
At the opening of the exhibition, RSAL Director Ada Kolganova emphasised that cooperation with people with health restrictions is an extremely important component of library activities.
St Petersburg State Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired Director Olga Ustinova thanked the management and specialists of RSAL for the opportunity to present the work of the artists to the public. She talked about working with the blind and special adaptation projects that the library is developing.
